July 14th- Jesus Calling

“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though thy stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.” - Psalm 37: 23-24

Sometimes following God’s will can be a real challenge. One because there is hardly ever immediate results of your success in Christ, and in today’s fast pace society we struggle to find the patience. Two because sometimes we lack trust in ourselves, and our trust in the Lord to carry us through is not enough. For me I like to plan out my steps, and evaluate my progress from the previous step when I should quiet my analyitical thoughts and channel my blind faith in the Lord. But that is difficult especially with college coming up, and knowing that my choices at school will partially effect how I impact the world later. It is hard to let go of the reigns on our own life, but we have to remember we are not living for ourselves. We exhaust ourselves when we don’t, and we stumble into the patterns of this world and forget what we stand for. We stand for Christ. Let that reality sink in. Let it take over; let Him take over. If it’s fulfillment you’re looking for, you’ll find it. If it’s purpose you’re looking for, you’ll find it. If it’s adventure you’re looking for, you’ll find it. Just let go of those reigns, and find Christ.
